On November 6, 2025, after a long illness, Phyllis Marie Rogers Ramsey, went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was the wife of the late Willie Samuel Ramsey.

Mrs. Ramsey was born November 14, 1935, in Covington, VA, the daughter of the late Walter Rogers and Leola Paxton-Rogers. Phyllis was reared in Covington but spent most of her adult life in Hampton, VA with her husband and children before retiring and returning to this area. Mrs. Ramsey
was a kind and caring person who always thought of others before herself. She enjoyed going on cruises as well as taking vacations to Disney and Pigeon Forge with her family and loved ones.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Ramsey-Jennings (husband, Seth Jennings) and Linda Ramsey-Flowers (husband, Jeff Flowers); her daughter-in-law, Katherine Pleasant; her loving grandchildren, Chris Flowers (Jessica Whealton), Jeffrey Flowers, Jennifer Wolfe (fiancé, Jonah Poe) and
Kristina Pleasant; great grandchildren, Taylor Pleasant, Katie Pleasant (Justin Williams), William Wolfe and Richard Wolfe; great-great grandchildren, Damian Gonzales and Aliyan Gonzales; her sister, Shirley Humphries; sisters-in-law, Virginia Rogers and Nancy Whitmore; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ramsey was preceded in death by her son, Richard Pleasant and her brothers, Walter Lee Rogers and Dennis Rogers.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at Loving Funeral Home by 10:15 A.M.

Pallbearers will be Seth Jennings, Jeffrey “Scott” Flowers, Jeffrey Flowers, Richard Wolfe, Dean Rogers and Justin Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Jonah Poe.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
