Public Notice – Town of Clifton Forge (Public Comment Invited)
The Town of Clifton Forge seeks public comment on a proposed project to construct a new two-unit, ADA-accessible restroom facility at the Smith Creek Sensory Trail in downtown Clifton Forge, Virginia. The project will enhance accessibility, health, and comfort for trail users—including families with young children, seniors, gardeners, and individuals with disabilities. Anticipated impacts include temporary construction disturbance (site preparation and utility connections) and a modest long-term visual change with the addition of the restroom structure.
This project is partially funded by the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) administered by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Detailed project information is available for review on the Town’s website under ‘Notices’. Public comments may be submitted online via the comment box on the notice. Comment deadline: October 31st, 2025.
