CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – Iris (Gilbert) Acerbi has tendered her resignation after over twelve-and-a-half years of happily serving the residents of Clifton Forge and the surrounding areas as a Library Assistant at the Clifton Forge Public Library.

Iris says it has been her “honor and privilege to serve the people.” She takes with her many fond memories and some solidly forged friendships made through the library. She sees the library as a “treasure within the community” and says, “I wholeheartedly praise God for the opportunity He gave
me to be a small part of it.”

While it is with sadness that Iris leaves this position, she is looking forward with excitement as she and her husband seek to fulfill both individual and mutual hopes, dreams, and plans.

The library staff cordially invite the public to attend a reception in Iris’ honor on Friday, August 15, which will also be her last day. Light refreshments will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Clifton Forge Public Library is located at 535 Church Street. For information on any library activities, call 863-2519.
