July 17, 2025
Built in Roanoke in 1950, the Class J No. 611 remains a proud symbol of our railroad legacy. In celebration of its 75th anniversary, I had the privilege of presenting a Congressional Record plaque to Mendy Flynn at the Virginia Museum of Transportation.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. (July 17, 2025) – Travel packages are now available for fans looking to join their favorite team at the 2025 Greenbrier Tip-Off, set to take place Nov. 21-23 at The Greenbrier, the famed resort nestled in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. Packages can be secured by visiting www.greenbriertipoff.com/travel.

Power conference programs Virginia, Butler, Northwestern and South Carolina make up the four teams of the event’s Mountain Division. Butler will face South Carolina and Northwestern takes on Virginia in games on Nov. 21, while Butler-Virginia and Northwestern-South Carolina make up the matchups for Nov. 23. Games times will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

With a seating capacity of just 1,000 inside Colonial Hall at The Greenbrier, at this time the only way to guarantee game tickets to the 2025 Greenbrier Tip-Off Mountain Division is through event travel packages. Packages will include tickets to both of a selected team’s games and hotel accommodations on property. Package buyers will have exclusive access to The Greenbrier’s wide-ranging resort amenities, including world-class golf, fishing excursions, historical bunker tours, horseback riding and fine dining.
