Richard (Rick) Jessee
Mr. Richard Earl (Rick) Jessee, age 66, of Warm Springs, died Friday, July 11, 2025, at LewisGale Medical Center, Salem. He was the husband of Lisa Livesay Jessee.
Mr. Jessee was born January 10, 1959, in Kingsport, TN, the son of the late Earl Carroll Jessee and Evelyn Kendrick Jessee. A graduate of Ferrum College, Rick came to this area in 1965. Along with Jim Garcia, he was the co-owner of Standard Printing & Office Supply Company for thirty-nine years before his retirement. Mr. Jessee was a member of Temple Baptist Church and also attended Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Covington Kiwanis Club, the Covington Retail Merchants Association and the Bath County High School Booster Club.
In addition to his wife, Lisa, Mr. Jessee is survived by his children, Samantha Jessee Tuttle and husband, Michael of Leesburg, VA, Cory Scott Jessee and wife, Ashley of Virginia Beach, VA, and Hillary Jessee Johnson and husband, Blake of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Noah, Audrey, Ryan, Carter and Wyatt; and two sisters, Beverly J. Reynolds and husband, Allen of Roanoke, VA and Martha J. Morgan and husband, Ralph of Roanoke, VA. In addition to his parents, Earl and Evelyn Jessee, Mr. Jessee was preceded in death by an infant sister, Kathy E. Jessee and a niece, Lora Megan Morgan.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Friday, July 18, 2025, at Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Boettcher officiating. Interment will follow at Alleghany Memorial Park, led by Rev. Samantha Tuttle.
Pallbearers will be Alan Livesay, Patrick Livesay, Ethan Sellers, Haden Sellers, Seth Reynolds, Chris Reynolds and Noah Tuttle.
The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 12:30 P.M. until time of service at Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the National Wild Turkey Federation, 770 Augusta Road, Edgefield, SC 29824.
