ALLEGHANY HIGHLANDS, Va. (VR) – Curtis A Smith VFW Post 1033 delivers “thank you” gift bags to veterans in our local nursing homes to celebrate the 4th of July as part of our continuing veteran support project. Thank you to the staff and Activity Directors at the Brian Center (Dawn Burke), The Woodlands (Emily Luchtenberg) Alleghany Health and Rehab (Lisa Horton) and the Highland House (Wendy Gibson) who take good care of our veterans on a day-to-day basis.
