CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – The Clifton Forge Library will partner with Curtis A Smith Post 1033 Auxiliary to bring their national Patriotism Through Literacy to the library. Post 1033 Auxiliary is pleased to be going into the Clifton Forge Library to bring this special reading program to young people throughout the Alleghany Highlands. The first reading will take place at the library on Tuesday, April 22, at 6:00 PM.
Our patriotic reading night welcomes a comfortable setting. Feel free to have children wear their Pjs and bring pillows or blankets to cuddle while we read, and they color.
Patriotic books introduce youth to our nation’s history and the key figures who built our great country while fostering a love of reading and a lifetime of reading. You can start with the Patriotism through Literacy book list which is provided by the Auxiliary’s Youth Activities National Program. If you have any books you would like to donate, please call the Clifton Forge Library at 540-863-2519 or go by their facility on 535 Church Street. Their friendly staff is always ready to assist you.
