COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Thanks to the help of students at Jeter-Watson Elementary School and Boys Home, Curtis A Smith VFW Post 1033 Auxiliary was able to send over 300 Christmas cards to veterans in local nursing homes and veterans’ hospitals around our area reaching as far the Washington D.C. Area. Cards are sent to the five veterans hospitals supported by our department leaders: Salem VA Medical Center, Martinsburg VA Medical Center, Richmond VA Medical Center, Hampton VA Medical Center, Washington DC VA Medical Center. We also send cards to VFW posts and American Legion in our as well as individuals.
Thank you to all veterans who have served our country.
