Tawney, CEO, DCNP, FNP-BC, APRN, MSN, the clinic has become a beacon of hope and health for many in the community.
Tawney, a native of West Virginia, brought her passion for dermatology to the area after completing both her undergraduate and graduate studies at West Virginia University. Inspired by the loss of her grandmother to melanoma skin cancer, Tawney vowed to have influence in the fight against skin cancer.
“I’ve seen firsthand how devastating skin cancer can be, not just for the patient but for their entire family,” Tawney said. “At Pinnacle Dermatology, we’re committed to holistic health and prevention. Our goal is to educate, counsel, and treat our patients with the utmost care and expertise.”
Tawney’s qualifications as a Dermatology Certified and Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner have enabled her to approach each patient with a comprehensive perspective, considering not just the physical aspects of dermatological issues but also the physiological and emotional dimensions.
“Our approach to patient care emphasizes comfort and trust,” Tawney says. “We want every visit to be impactful, and I’m proud to say that many of our patients find their experiences here to be more comprehensive and personal than they’ve had elsewhere.”
