Clifton Forge, Va. (VR) – Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) is proud to announce the Pinning Ceremony for its Practical Nursing program graduates, which will take place on Friday, December 20th at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will be held in the Moomaw Center at MGCC’s Clifton Forge campus, celebrating the achievements of these students as they officially enter the nursing profession.
The pinning ceremony is a cherished tradition in nursing, marking the completion of the Practical Nursing program and the graduates’ entry into the healthcare field. During the ceremony, graduates will be presented with their pins, often placed by family members, faculty, or mentors. This symbolic gesture marks their commitment to the nursing profession and their readiness to begin their careers in healthcare.
This brief, yet meaningful, event will last less than an hour, offering an opportunity for graduates, families, and faculty to come together in celebration of the students’ hard work, dedication, and compassion throughout their educational journey.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this important milestone with our Practical Nursing graduates,” said Cathy Hiler, DPN, RN, and Nursing Program Head at MGCC. “The pinning ceremony is a momentous occasion that honors not only their academic accomplishments but also the beginning of their careers as compassionate healthcare professionals. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved.”
