Michael Shane “Mike” Griffith
Michael Shane “Mike” Griffith, age 48, of N. Beverly Ave, Covington, Virginia died Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his residence.
He was born April 22, 1976 in Alleghany County to the late Gloria Jean Hiler Griffith and Vernon Lee Griffith. He was a bricklayer for Snow Jr. and King in Richmond, Va. He was a member of Covington Fire Department and a former member of Covington Rescue Squad. He enjoyed fishing and loved his Carolina football. Mike served in the United States Marie Corp. He was a loving husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Jean Hiler Griffith.
He is survived by his wife, Ashlee Griffith; four daughters, Lexi Griffith, Carolyn Griffith, Taylor Griffith and Hayleigh Shinault; a son, William Walton; two sisters, Stacy Murray and Faith Holloway; a granddaughter, Aurora Mullins; his father, Vernon Lee Griffith; his companion, Barry; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Friends may visit the home anytime.
