Nancy Louise Aldridge Carroll
Nancy Louise Aldridge Carroll, age 72, formerly of Millboro, Virginia passed away peacefully with her children at her bedside on Monday, December 9, 2024, in Clifton Forge, Virginia.
Nancy was born on January 16, 1952, in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late James Lawrence and Laura Mabel Nicely Aldridge. She was a homemaker throughout her life and attended Horeb Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and was a mother to all.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, David Howard Carroll, Sr.; a daughter, Tina Marie Carroll; five brothers and a sister, Clayton, Bonnie, Allen, Carl, Darrell, and Alvin; and two grandsons, Barrett Caldwell and Chandler Simpson.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Craft (Buster) of Clifton Forge and Selena Liptrap (Ronnie) of Millboro; two sons, Jamie Carroll (Jessica) and David Carroll, Jr. (Missy); three sisters, Elizabeth Byer, Donna Brandvold, and Peggy Brady (Mel); two brothers, Charles Aldridge (Doreen) and Dennis Aldridge (Annette); grandchildren, Dustin Caldwell (Amanda), Madison Carroll, Noah Carroll, Johnny Fortescue (Carley), Josh Caldwell (Natalie), Harmony Carroll, Whitney Lacks, Andrew Lacks (Nina), Tanner Lacks (Skylynn), Conner Simpson, Olivia Simpson, Laura Arends, and Joseph Craft; great grandchildren, Lillianna, Kenya, Karson, Korbin, Milleigh, Magnolia, Clementine, Olive, Madelyn, and Baker; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Melanie, Amy and Chase, Penny and Darrell, and Dorsey and Betty.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Adam Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Caldwell, Dustin Caldwell, Chase Coffey, Ronnie Liptrap, Johnny Fortescue, Corey Jeffries, Collin Aldridge, and CJ Aldridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Knighton and Buster Craft. The family will visit with friends on Friday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
