On 09/23/24 at approximately 6:48 am Alleghany County dispatch was contacted on 911 and informed that the caller’s daughter needed the police at Mountain View Apartments.
Upon arrival officers from Clifton Forge P.D. made contact with the resident of the address who stated that another occupant was inside the apartment. Officers then ordered the occupant to exit. The suspect Mr. Eric Lee Kincaid managed to escape through a back window of the apartment. Officers and Deputies of the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of the area with no results. The victim was taken to Lewis Gale Alleghany hospital and received treatment for her injuries. Kincaid was later found at an address on Ogles creek in Alleghany County and is in custody and has been charged for 18.2-57.2 (Domestic Assault) and 18.2-48 (Abduction). Kincaid is currently being held at the Alleghany County Regional Jail.
This case remains under investigation by the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office, Clifton Forge Police Department and the Virginia State Police. The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office wants to inform the public that there is no threat to the public regarding this investigation.
