Toby Keith was born July 8, 1961 and died Febuary 5, 2024 a true American hero to the veteran.
We know him for his biggest hits: “Ás Good As I Once Was” and “Red Solo Cup” .
Toby Keith was a staunch veteran supporter and this could be heard through his songs “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue”in which he says, “So we can sleep at night when we lay down our heads”.
He also sang such great hits as “American Soldier” and “Made in America”.
Toby Keith supported the military by performing frequently for those serving in the Middle East. His quote:
“My father was a soldier. He taught his kids to respect veterans. It’s that respect and the thank-you that we have a military that’s in place and ready to defend our nation; our freedom.”
Keith continued: ”I don’t apologize for being patriotic.”
Thank you, Toby Keith. We should not apologize for being patriotic.
It is only fitting that he should be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. He certainly made a contribution in honoring our veterans.
