On June 12, 2023 a search warrant was conducted on Rockbridge Avenue in Covington. During the search. 14.59 grams of methamphetamine was confiscated along with 5 suboxone films as well as various types of drug paraphernalia. Four individuals were arrested and charged in connection with this search warrant.
Ashely Nicole Kegley, age 39, of 326 West Hawthorne Street, Covington, was charged with felony possession of schedule I or II drugs, misdemeanor possession of a schedule III drug, and felony abuse/neglect of child, reckless disregard for life.
Regina Carole Angle, age 40, of 3011 S. Circle Drive, Covington, was charged with one felony count of possession of schedule I or II drug.
Sierra Hope Knighton, age 26, of 521 Tremont Street, Clifton Forge, was charged with one felony count of possession of schedule I or II drug. She was also arrested on a felony probation violation out of Montgomery County.
Ernest Wade Armentrout II, age 41, of 827 North Rockbridge Avenue, was charged with one count of felony possession of schedule I or II drug. He was also arrested for two felony probation violations from Alleghany County Circuit Court.
All four are currently being held at Alleghany Regional Jail with no bond.
The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Covington Police Department, Clifton Forge Police Department as well as the Virginia State Police.
