Fatal Crash on Route 220 in Bath County

At 12:48 p.m. on Monday (March 14), Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 220 south of Route 623.

A 2017 Nissan Rogue was traveling north on Route 220 when it ran off the right side of the road, struck several trees and overturned.

The driver, Nancy E. Williams, 81, of Warm Springs, Va., died at the scene. She was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
