Caleb Ogilvie has been identified as the Covington Police Officer killed in last night’s shooting at the Covington Farm and Fuel. Three people were left dead from the incident which occurred at 4:30 pm Monday night.
Officer Ogilvie’s cruiser is parked in front of Covington City Hall this morning in his memory. Mayor Sibold said, “As our community struggles to understand the tragedies of last evening we’ll start the day different. Loss is always hard, but this is something no one expects. Our focus now is first to support and pray for the officer’s family. To support and pray for our city police Dept. To do the same for all city staff and the community. We pray for the families of all involved.”
A Go Fund Me campaign has been set up for his family and states: “Caleb Ogilvie lost his life in the line of duty March 14, 2022, leaving behind his wife and two young daughters. He was an amazing father, husband and friend. He spent his life serving his country as a Marine and Law Enforcement Officer. Any financial help will go towards funeral expenses and bills while they try to figure out what to do next. Anything is appreciated. Thank you for the prayers, thoughts, and donations.”
