CLIFTON FORGE- Clifton Forge School of the Arts (CFSOTA) has a wide selection of classes scheduled for January and February and invites you to find a creative outlet to brighten these cold winter days. CFSOTA is finalizing details for a number of new programs and activities for children beginning in March. You can sign up for the email newsletter on their website (www.cfsota.org) to be among the first to get updates on new classes.

Here is a list of the upcoming classes open to adults and teens:

BLACKSMITHING

M-201: INTERMEDIATE BLACKSMITHING PROJECT- TOMAHAWK

● PAINT LIKE AN IMPRESSIONIST

● WOODTURNING PROJECTS

● OPEN WOODSHOP FOR EXPERIENCED WOODWORKERS

Contact the School by phone (540-862-7275) or email (cfsota@lumos.net) for details on any of these.

The School also offers gallery exhibits, sells works by instructors and students, and houses an art supply store. The Gallery, Gift Shop, and The Art Store are all open to the public during the School’s regular business hours: Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, with the exception of times the space is used for a class or event. CFSOTA is closed Sunday and Monday.

Clifton Forge School of the Arts offers education in the fine and applied arts to people of all ages and abilities. Located at 518 Church Street in the heart of historic downtown Clifton Forge, CFSOTA provides both recreational and vocational opportunities in a wide range of subjects including: blacksmithing, drawing, fiber arts, jewelry making, music, painting, photography, pottery, sculpture, stained glass, and woodworking. Clifton Forge School of the Arts strives to encourage creativity, promote cultural enrichment, and support economic development through arts education.
