Narrows Edges Covington

Published

on

The Narrows Green Waves (6-3), escaped defeat on Tuesday night against the Covington Cougars (3-7), by the final score of 74-73.

Despite a season-high 16 points from Ashton Cook (who missed the previous two games), the Cougars fell short of their upset-bid against the Green Waves.

The Cougars had entered their game with the Green Waves, riding a two-game winning streak, in which the team was averaging 70+ points a game.

The Cougars kept up with the fast paced Green Waves and scored right around their average during their winning streak, but ultimately fell short in extending their winning streak.

The team got all they could handle and more from Kolier Pruett, who scored a game-high 29 points for the Green Waves.

Purcel Turner, led the Cougars with a team-high 17 points, while Javier Yancey added 14.

The Cougars will travel to Highland County on Friday night.
