Dear Editor,
At the top of Page 1 in the Virginian Review, Saturday, November 22, in red letters was ” Life…You Gotta Love It “
It was referring to an article on Page 4.
I have looked at this writer’s articles before and found no interest in them. But this time it did alert me to what the article
was about.
From what I understand the writer likes to walk in the woods. I’m sure that it is a wonderful place to walk in nature. But I have a problem with a person just walking in the woods for pleasure while it is hunting season.
Hunters have a legal right to be in the woods when it is hunting season. They also have the right to carry their guns
fully loaded and ready to kill the game they are hunting. Furthermore, a good hunter is very careful when they see the animal.
They are aware beforehand of their surroundings and they will only pull the trigger to kill because they know it’s safe.
So I say respect the rights of the hunters and stay out of the woods if you’re not hunting until hunting season is over.
Sincerely,
Howard “Ray” Tucker
Selma
