The Jackson River Garden Club met on Tuesday, Nov. 9.
The meeting was opened by President Doris Swartz and she introduced the special guest, Alleghany Highlands Christmas Mother Susan Rollinson.
Club members presented Rollinson with paper products they donated for the Christmas Mother program and projects.
Cynthia Baroody, a member of the club, hosted a workshop for members on how to make a table centerpiece decoration from a fresh pineapple. In the very center of the cut pineapple is a place to put a tea candle. The centerpiece was enhanced by the aroma of arm pineapple.
