The 2021 Highlands Christmas Mother program has finalized this year’s application process.
Online applications opened Monday and will continue through Friday, Oct. 29 at www.highlandschristmasmother.org.
Christmas Mother Susan Rollinson is encouraging online applications to minimize interactions that might spread COVID-19.
“Before starting an online application, please have on hand all the required documents. Online applicants will also need to schedule a short in-person interview to check documents and select a distribution time,” she said.
In-person applications will be taken by appointment in Covington at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, 214 W. Locust St. on Nov. 16, 17, and 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointment scheduling will open on Monday, Nov. 1. Call 962-9077 to set up an appointment.
All applicants, online and in-person, will be required to show the following documentation:
• Picture ID
• Social Security cards for every member of the household.
• All SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, and SSI/SSID cards for the household.
• Income documentation such as a pay stub for everyone in the household who works. If a household member is receiving unemployment benefits, this is counted as income and must also be documented.
