CLIFTON FORGE — Wanda Mae Campbell Furry, age 73, of 1317 Forester Road, Clifton Forge, died Saturday, September 18, 2021, at her residence.
She was born July 19, 1948, in Staunton, Virginia to the late Eldon N. Campbell and Ruby E. Campbell. She attended Calvary United Methodist Church. Wanda was a lifetime member of the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge, and she was a member of Chapter 22 of the Moose. She loved gambling, gardening, visiting the beach, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Donald B. Campbell and Lewis W. Campbell; three grandchildren, Aaron J. Wickline, Jason Wickline and Chelsey Wickline; and a niece, Ashley Campbell.
She is survived by her husband, David K. Furry of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Lisa M. Wickline and her husband Chester and their sons, Adam and Travis of Wirtz; two sons, Roger Corbin, Jr. and his wife Melody of Stuarts Draft and Chris Corbin of Christiansburg; two step-daughters, Heather N. Furry of Clifton Forge and Jessica K. Cooper and her husband Matt of Lake LaRue, NC.; a step-son, Erik T. Furry and his wife Cathleen of Roanoke; a sister, Brenda Howdyshell and her husband Bill of Greenville; sister-in-law, Sandra Campbell of Stuarts Draft; aunts, Ella Mae Conner of Stuarts Draft and Margaret F. Fields of Maryland; and a special friend, Minnie Slayton of Selma; seven grandchildren, Adam Wickline, Travis Wickline, Megan Coffey and her husband Justin, Cody Corbin and his wife Angelica, Ray Corbin, Kayla Biernat and her husband Matt, and Logan Corbin; six step-granchildren, Brynn Furry Godfrey, Katelynn D. Furry, Jonathon R. Cooper, Sebastian T. Furry, Grace K. Cooper and Evanqeline M. Furry; five great-grandchildren, Kerrington Coffey, Jaycee Coffey, Aria Coffey, Parker Corbin and Colson Biernat, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with Mr. Chris Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery, Stuarts Draft, Virginia with Reverend Frankie Hall officiating. Pallbearers will be Adam Wickline, Travis Wickline, Chris Corbin, J.R. Corbin, Victor Bruce, and Derek Campbell. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
