Parry McCluer nipped Covington, 3-2, in a Pioneer District boys soccer match last Wednesday at the Jackson River Sport Complex.
Chadwick Tacy had both goals for the Cougars, who fell to 0-2-1.
“The game went well even for a loss,” said CHS coach Laura Farrar. “The team has gone through a lot and I’m proud of how they persevered. A 3-2 loss is a hard one, but often you can learn more from a loss than a win. We expect to finish out the season strong.”
CHS hosts Craig County today at the complex.
