ELLISTON — Eastern Montgomery defeated Bath County here Tuesday night in the semifinal round of the Pioneer District volleyball tournament — 25-15, 25-11, 25-9.
The Mustangs (10-3) advanced to tonight’s championship match at Narrows. The Green Wave, the top seed in the tournament, beat Parry McCluer — 25-5, 25-18, 25-13 — in the other semifinal.
Both Narrows and Eastern Montgomery will represent the Pioneer District in next week’s Class 1, Region C tournament.
Bath County, now 6-6 on the year, will play a plus-one match on Tuesday night at George Wythe.
Emily Douglas had seven kills and two aces to lead the Chargers in the loss at East Mont.
Hope May added four kills, Chelsey Lowry had six assists and seven digs, while Cami Keyser added a team-high 15 digs.
