Dear Editor,
On Saturday, Dec. 3, Scott Hill held its annual Winner-Take-All Bingo for the residents and the public.

The “Jack Pot Game” where the winner takes all the money from the day was a tied game. Rhonda Morris, Shelvy Diaz and Gloria O’Neil were all big winners that day and split the jackpot three ways.

This is an event that many residents and guests look forward to every year and would not be possible without the local businesses and individuals contributing prizes for the games.

I would like to take a moment to thank each business or individual that donated prizes for the bingo: Chris Neil Electric, Dave Davis, Cucci’s, Jack Mason’s Tavern, Old Forge Coffee, Nickell Electric, Colt Plumbing, Highlands Community Bank, KFC, Vic’s Family Restaurant, Clifton Tire & Auto, Club Car, Kroger, Mountain View Restaurant, Northwest True Value, Carpet Village, Upper Cuts, The Tobacco Shop, Food Lion, RadioShack, Arby’s, S.J. Neathawk Lumber, Tomalee O’Conner, Tupperware by Stacey Jeffires, Honey’s Hairbows, Mama’s Pizza, Heirlooms, Thirty-One Gifts by Shay Nicely, Western Sizzlin, Snip & Style, Laura Booze, Seibel Heavy Equipment Repair Inc., Homer’s Parts & Accessories, D&J’s Family Restaurant, Virginian Review, Merle Norman Cosmetics, Show Box & Sports Center, Covington Tire, Big Fat Jerry’s Seasoning and Old Dogs Coffee, Pics By Kels, Massage Therapy by Jennifer Walton, Dawn Tingler and Avon by Gloria O’Neil.

Words cannot convey our deepest gratitude for each donation that helped make this event a huge success. In these tough economic times, it is such a privilege to live in the Alleghany Highlands where individuals and businesses are proud to sponsor community events and serve others even when things are tight.

Scott Hill Retirement Community would also like to thank each resident and guests that attended the bingo that day.

Sincerely,
Schuyler Fury
