Dear Editor,
This short quip is to address the proposed grouping of our local bodies to form a proposed for progress.

In my opinion, it’s a waste of time and resources because of a regressive mindset that I’ve perceived for years Most are living in the past of partisanship bickering and so a friendly atmosphere for progress cannot be achieved for proper business opportunities to take root for real purpose to bring work to this area so then job expansion.

There has been inquiries by several business to locate in this area but have been nay- sayed by unreasonableness and folly I see the consolidation as unproductive that will only bring more problems than it solves. What his area really needs is a real change of heart as economics is only but a symptom of a much bigger program.

I don’t think it’s wise for Covington to give up its city-ship (charter). I don’t see any real viable benefits that would bring tangible results to reduce unemployment or that would improve the quality of life. So my vote is No.

Thank You
Daniel T. Renar
