TAP Holds Ribbon Cutting For Keswick Street Housing Project

Total Action Against Poverty held an open house celebration on Keswick Street in Clifton Forge Thursday.

TAP provided funding of $500,000 to renovate six houses and plans to sell them to local buyers for $90,000 each.

Speaking at the celebration were Alfred “Mustard” Dearing, vice chairman, TAP Alleghany Highlands Board of Commissioners; Ted Edlich, president and CEO of Total Action Against Poverty; the Rev. Roger Bush, TAP board of directors and Alleghany Highlands Board of Commissioners; Jimmie Hough, mayor of Clifton Forge; and Angela Penn, vice president of development, TAP, who was in charge of the project and awarded a plaque to the many individuals who helped on the project, including local officials.
