Today, November 10
Presentation: The Clifton Forge Public Library will present “The New Generation of Electronics” from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Nick Moga of PCSS and Timothy Lipham of Verizon will be the presenters. Light refreshments will be served.

Friday, November 11
Veteran’s Day
Breakfast: There will be a free breakfast for all veterans from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. at The Red Caboose Family Restaurant.

Spaghetti Supper: The youth of Covington Church of the Nazarene, 216 E. Locust St., will sponsor a spaghetti supper from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Donations will be taken to benefit the group.

Saturday, November 12
STARS: Appalfolks of America will present STARS at Clifton Middle School’s Gleason Forum Hall at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door and can be purchsaed at The Buckhorne Country Store, Heirlooms of Clifton Forge and Shoe Box and Sports Center. Call 862-4502 for more information.

Community Dinner: There will be a community dinner at Emory United Methodist Church from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Deliveries available for shut-ins. Donations accepted to cover costs. Any proceeds will be used to continue the church’s ongoing ministry.

Bean Dinner: Emory United Methodist Church will hold a bean dinner from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Donations will be accepted.

Harvest Festival: Falling Spring Presbyterian Church will hold its Fall Harvest Festival from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. Lunch will be available from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., followed by a live auction of handmade items and baked goods. There will also be a silent auction and Chinese auction of various items. Proceeds benefit mission programs in the community.

Sunday, November 13
Jewelry Bingo: There will be a Premier Designs Jewelry Bingo at 2 p.m., doors open at 1 p.m., at the Covington Moose Lodge. Proceeds will benefit the Mountainvew Ruritan Club.

Woman’s Club: The Covington Woman’s Club Board of Directors will meet at Granbery UMC Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.

Winter Clothing Giveaway: Greenwood Presbyterian Church, 626 E. Morris Hill Road, Covington, will hold a Winter Clothing Giveaway Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
