The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism sponsored a grand opening and ribbon cutting for Pneuma Hair and Nail Salon, located at 601 Main Street in Clifton Forge, on Friday.
The salon will offer manicure and pedicures, spa packages for young ladies and specialized men’s services.
Officials welcoming the new business to the Highlands included chamber Executive Director Teresa Hammond, chamber President-Elect Greg Madsen, city of Covington Vice-Mayor Buddy Brown, Alleghany County Supervisor Carolyn Barnette, Clifton Forge Vice-Mayor Johnette Roberts and Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation Entrepreneurial Specialist Herb Slaydon.
Thalia Turner, salon owner, thanked those who attended the grand opening and said she was glad to come back to her hometown to open her business.
