On May 10, Boys’ Home will host “Celebrating Residential Education Day” on the Boys’ Home campus.
The theme of this year’s celebration is, “Read, Walk, Rock.” Residents and staff of Boys’ Home are participating in two challenges that go along with the theme.
The first challenge is reading, with a goal of 300 books to be read collectively from March 19-May 10. The second challenge tests residents and staff to walk, run or bike for a total of 2,500 miles.
The event takes place for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities include tours of the campus, Boys’ Home School tours and student displays, campus tours and a gourmet luncheon served at the Ben Parrott dining hall.
A visiting chef from Guest Services, Inc. will prepare the luncheon, assisted by culinary arts students. Guest Services, Inc. specializes in catering and hospitality management.
