Employees of AT&T visited Covington High School March 16 to present a program entitled “Don’t Text and Drive” to Driver Education and Family and Consumer Science students.
The program included a power point presentation, and students were also urged to sign a pledge not to text while driving.
The banner that the students signed will be placed on display at the school.
Students also participated in a exercise in which they were blindfolded and walked through an obstacle course to simulate the dangers of driving while distracted.
Here participating in the simulation are students Rachel McCallister, left, and Trey Via, second from right.
Looking on are AT&T employees Kim Zimmerman, second from left, and Tiffany Nolan, far right.
