The Alleghany Heart Unit has announced sign-up dates for its 2012 slate of pageants.
Each pageant will hold 20 contestants and entrants can only compete twice in each pageant age group. A drawing will be held if more than 20 people are present at the lottery.
(This does not apply to the adult pageant)
The signup dates are:
– Dec 5: Covington High School Auditorium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the lottery begins at 6 p.m. Persons will not be allowed to enter after 6 p.m.
This date will include: the annual Queen for a Cause Adult Beauty Pageant ages, 18 and up; Senior Miss Queen of Hearts 11th and 12th grades; Junior Miss Queen of Hearts 8th, 9th, and 10th grades; Young Miss Queen of Hearts 5th, 6th, and 7th grades.
Girls must have an adult present for registration.
– Dec. 7: Covington High School. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the lottery begins at 6 p.m. Persons cannot enter after 6 p.m.
This date includes: Queen for a Cause Adult Beauty Pageant ages 18 and Up; Little Miss Queen of Hearts 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades; Tiny Miss Queen of Hearts Pre-K, K, and 1st grades (contestants must be five by Jan. 1, 2012.
