DEAR AUNT MARY,
What is the proper way for adults to conduct themselves in church?
I have attended different churches and I cannot believe what goes on. Mostly it is the men who rub the ladies’ backs and shoulders and play with the ladies’ hair.
Then there are the hip hugger pants that are worn with their backside revealed. This type of grooming should be private, not public.
Why should adults pollute morals and encourage adolescents to act and dress this way, especially in church?
OUT OF TOUCH
DEAR OUT OF TOUCH,
Unfortunately the younger generation is not taught the same values you and I received when we were young.
The behavior you describe is not acceptable in church or any public place but it takes place more and more as time goes on.
The adults you are talking about are a different generation than us older folk, and to them, their actions are acceptable. It is too bad they can’t stand back and see how ridiculous they appear.
As the old saying goes, “there is a time and a place for everything” and church is not the place to indulge in lustful activities.
