Robert Dixon Hopkins Luke, 33, son of Thomas Luke, president of West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company, died today in Troy City Hospital in New York. He had been ill a week of acute nephritis.
A complete list of fights scheduled for tonight’s boxing show in the Clifton Forge High School auditorium was announced by F.S. Kay, high school athletic director.

A large group from the Covington-Clifton Forge area called on Gov. J. Lindsay Almond Jr. seeking support for a two-year community college for the area.
Four Covington High School students left yesterday for Richmond to attend the 14th annual YMCA Model General Assembly which opened this morning.

A new sign was dedicated on Saturday in honor of Douthat State Park’s 50th anniversary. Del. Bill Wilson helped Mrs. Russell Smith and Mrs. Ray Plasters of the Jackson River Garden Club landscape around the new sign.
Dr. Andrew Mosley was guest speaker Saturday for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Loyalty Banquet held at the Holiday Inn.
