Today’s Headline: ABC Newcaster Paul Harvey Is Welcomed At Airport.
Paul Harvey arrived in Covington in his own twin-engined Apache airplane yesterday afternoon. The nationally-known newscaster landed at the Covington airport.
Bobby Ailstock is ill at his home with mumps. He recoverred from measles which kept him confined to his home last week.

Passenger service from Ingalls Field in Hot Springs to areas served by New York Air Connection will begin Tuesday, April 1 with new low fares.
Restoration of the 129-year-old Carriage House located behind the Alleghany County Courthouse continues following a November 4 fire which gutted the building.

Clifton Forge Town Council approved a resolution Tuesday authorizing Town Manager Tom Harris to begin seeking funds for the installation of water meters.
Kristen Creason has been honored as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Scouter of the Year. A recognition dinner was held at the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church.
