HOT SPRINGS (AP) – With snow in the forecast, The Homestead’s slopes are officially open for skiing and snowboarding.
The Hot Springs resort said Saturday The Homestead’s Snowsports area has an 8- to 20-inch base for skiers and boarders.
A high wind warning, however, kept main lift off limits until the winds die down later in the day Saturday.
Besides the snow in the forecast, snowmaking is under way as well.
