Today’s Headline: C.F. Annexation Discussed At Meeting.
Officials of Clifton Forge and Alleghany County on Wednesday conferred two hours and 45 minutes on the city’s proposal to annex areas of the county north and east of the city.
Mrs. Myrtle Taylor of the Mountain Home was the Sunday guests of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Reynolds.

The Alleghany County Community Services Board is in the process of developing the “Clubhouse Model” for chronically mentally ill patients. The program allows patients to participate in various activities and develop many skills.

Committees will be approved to begin exploring ways to jointly-operate Alleghany County and Covington schools. The Alleghany County Board of Supervisors and Covington City Council agreed to the committee concept Wednesday.
