Dear Editor,
On Feb. 16, a cancer benefit/silent auction was held at the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge in my honor.

I would like to take this time to publicly thank the people who made this possible. From the ones who bought and sold raffle tickets for the Valentine’s basket, to the ones who made donations that went toward the silent auction, to those that baked cakes and made food and the ones who sent me such beautiful cards, I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love in our community.

Words cannot express how much we appreciate everything and everyone.

I would like to thank the following businesses and individuals: Homer and Michelle Warren with Homer’s Auto Parts and Accessories, Jason and Deanna Helmintoller with Alcova Mortgage, The Home-stead resort, The Red Lantern Inn, State Farm Insurance, H&R Block, Great Reflections Hair Salon, Upper Cuts Hair Salon, Harrah’s Suntana, Pebbles Department Store, Hill Top Market.

Also, Walmart, Cato’s, Kroger, The Flower Center, Country Garden Florist, Fairfield Farm Realty, Kelsey Meyer with Pics by Kels, The China Wok, Bella’s Pizza, Dairy Queen, Cat and Owl Steak and Seafood Restaurant, The Club Car, Quiznos, San Juan Mexican Restaurant, Vic’s Family Restaurant, Julie Persinger, Amanda Madison, Miranda Napier, Annette Anderson, Monte Bracken-ridge, Melinda Hinkle, Dawn Kimberlin, The Biker Brothers, Denise Craft, Connie Hurt.

Also, Angie Hinebaugh, Brenda Brackenridge, Janet Kern, Dawn Lewis, Lori Saville, Earl McClung, Barbara and Tim Bennington, Mark and Lynn Brackenridge, Fred and Mary Brackenridge, Lydia D. Nicely, Lori Moore, Todd Richardson, Linda Leeman, Lelia Tabor, Susan Cahoon, Reta Boguess, Lena McClung, Rocky Tolley, Jennifer Walton, Stacy Craft, Lori McCallister, Tomalee O’Conner, Tommy Dobbs, Joanie Unroe, Debbie Burberette, Linda Wilhelm, Missy Reynolds, Pam Evans, Gail Wallace, Bobby and Connie Tolley, The Bully Project, Becky Landis.

A special thanks to Kickn Graz, Against the Grain and DJ Joey Crawford for playing some great music. Also a special thank you to three very special ladies who worked so very hard: Andi Tolley, Erin Huff-man and Amy Nicely.

With All My Love
and Appreciation,
Valerie Brackenridge
