West Virginia Hunting Victim Named By Authorities

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – The Division of Natural Resources has released the name of a hunter found dead at a Greenbrier County wildlife management area.

Spokesman Hoy Murphy said Monday that 40-year-old Randy McCoy of Mount Hope apparently collapsed while hunting deer during muzzleloader season at the Meadow River Wildlife Management Area.

The DNR is awaiting the results of an autopsy as it investigates McCoy’s death. McCoy was found dead Saturday.
