Linda Salyers Oliver, 62, of 1710 Main St., Clifton Forge, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at The Golden Living Center.
Mrs. Oliver was born March 14, 1950, in Covington a daughter of the late Radford and Virginia Tucker Salyers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Salyers.
She was employed as resident manager of Clifton Woods Apartments.
She was a member of Calvary Christian Church in Covington and was a former telephone operator with the former Clifton Forge-Waynesboro Telephone Company.
Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Thomas Oliver, of Clifton Forge; her daughter and son-in-law, Lorie and Lew Wilcher of Covington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Tempest Lowman of Clifton Forge and Duane and Teena Oliver of Williamsburg; five grandchildren, Halen Lowman, Karie Forbes, C.J. Wilcher, Tabitha Wilcher and Antoine Oliver; one sister, Irene Carter, of Rupert, W.Va.; one brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Gloria Salyers of Covington; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
In accordance with her wishes, her body has been cremated.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Warren officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until service time Wednesday at Arritt Funeral Home.
