Ramona Simmons “Nikki” Malone, 63, of 702 Miller Street, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at her residence.
She was born August 26, 1947 in Savannah, Ga.
Nikki was a former clerk at the Alleghany County Commissioner of Revenue Office.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Hall, and by a daughter, Emilee Malone in 2003.
Surviving are her husband, Gilbert “Pat” Malone of Covington; three sons, John Malone of Asheville, N.C., Randy Malone and his wife, Megan, of Norfolk and Michael Malone of Mars Hill, N.C.; four grandchildren, Colton Malone, Kaylee Malone, Savannah Malone and Kainoa Malone; one sister Carolyn “Bubbles” Hyler of Orange Park, Fla.; two half-brothers, Buddy Drew and his wife, Carol, of Pooler, Ga., and John Bartell of Clifton Forge.
In accordance with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A private funeral service will be held.
The family suggests that memorial donations in Nikki’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Blvd., Clifton Forge, Va. 24422 or to Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, Va. 24422.
