CLIFTON FORGE – The Clifton Forge Police Department has arrested an Alleghany County man in connection with a string of thefts.
According to the department, Brandon Kevin Clinebell, 24, has been arrested. Clinebell is facing 25 counts of tampering with a vehicle, 14 counts of petit larceny and two counts of grand larceny.
The alleged crimes took place occurred between Nov. 15-18.
“Following a press release to the Virginian Review we received information from a citizen, which led to identifying a suspect and the recovery of some of the stolen property,” said Lt. Ronnie Paxton. “Further investigation led to information that lead to his arrest.”
The Clifton Forge Police Department reminds citizens not to store valuables in their vehicles and to keep them locked during this holiday season.
“We would like to thank the public for the information we received in reference to these crimes,” said Paxton. “When citizens come forward with information on any crime it greatly increases the chances of successfully solving that crime.”
