Taylor Tester scored six goals as Staunton River whipped Alleghany 8-0 in a Blue Ridge District girls soccer match at Mountaineer Field Friday.
“In tonight’s game, we were really tired from the past two games this week,” said AHS coach Rhianna Herr.
“But all considering, we are still getting better,” she added. “We have seen all the district has and we can only go up from here.”
Mikayla Morgan had 13 saves in goal for the Mountaineers.
Alleghany, 0-5 in the Blue Ridge District and 2-7 overall, travels to Northside on Tuesday and hosts William Byrd on Friday.
