Exploring Healthy Foods Campaign Held At Jackson River Technical Center’s Early Childhood Education Program

As part of the ongoing Healthy Bodies campaign at Jackson River Technical Center’s Early Childhood Education Program, pre-schoolers, parents, student teachers and Instructor Nonette Cosgrove explored fresh produce at Food Lion.

Food Lion Customer Service Sales Manager Andrea Panther guided the group through the selection of fruits and vegetebles.

“There were fruits and vegetables that some of us had never tasted before,” said Cosgrove.

Panther arranged for the group to sample pomegranates, and gave out healthy food coloring books and Food Lion’s Healthy Start Tour Achievement Certificates as hospitality gift.
