Dr. Richard Teaff, right, president of Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, recently signed an agreement with the Campus Ecology Program of the American Wildlife Federation, which has established thousands of environmental programs on campuses and communities throughout the nation.
The mission of the AWF/CEP is to turn educational institutions into models of environmental sustainability.

“As part of the SVEP, we are pleased that strong efforts are being made to promote clean energy in our region,” said Dr. Teaff. “Our training programs are being put into place for the numerous job opportunities that are expected to emerge as the number of renewable energy sources continues to grow. We are pleased to have so many impressive partners who share the same vision for our communities – from the SVEP in its region to the national outreach efforts of the Campus Ecology Program.”
The SVEP grant is in place through the spring of 2012.
