CLIFTON FORGE - Linda Ayers Kessinger, 69 of Clifton Forge, passed away Friday, Oct. 1, 2010.
Our most loving Mother went to be with the Lord, after a hard battle with illness, she is finally at rest.
She was born in Covington, Nov. 10, 1940, a daughter of the late Leland Thomas and Claudine Neel Ayers.
Linda was an active part of the business community in Clifton Forge for more than 25 years.
Her real estate company, Action Real Estate, was a large part of her life and one that she very much enjoyed.
She will be sadly missed by her children: daughter, Rhonda Kessinger Bandy and her husband, Phillip, of Kannapolis, N.C.; and her son, Ronald Gregory Kessinger, and his wife, Kathleen, of Newberg, Ore.; her grandsons, who were the lights of her life, Kenneth Bandy and Maxwell Kessinger; her brothers, Kenith “Brother” Ayers and his wife, Pat, of aryland, Leland “Skip” Ayers and his wife, Thea, of Troutville, Ronnie Gene Ayers and his wife, Jane, of Zanesville, Ohio.
She will also be missed by some very special friends in her life, Joe Mann, Susan Baird and Curtis Persinger, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and family.
A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at New Zion Union Church in Waiteville, W.Va., with the Rev. David Kessinger officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 12 noon until service time Tuesday.
