Church items are limited to benefits, dinners and yard or bake sales and are published only during the week of the event.

Iron Gate Senior Citizens: Iron Gate Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m., Iron Gate Baptist Church. The speaker will be Iron Gate Police Chief Brad Hodge. A covered-dish luncheon will follow.

Benefit Spaghetti Dinner: A spaghetti dinner to benefit cancer victim Wallace O’Conner will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Falling Spring Fire Department. The cost will be $8 will all proceeds going to assist O’Conner with medical expenses. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.
Epworth Church Spaghetti Dinner: Epworth United Methodist Church in Selma will hold a spaghetti dinner Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The price will be $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 4-10. Take-out orders will be available.
Tribute To Elvis: Appalfolks of America will sponsor a musical tribute to Elvis at Clifton Middle School’s Gleason Forum Hall at 8 p.m.
Barbecue Chicken: Star-Bolar UMC will be selling barbecue chicken at Mrs. Black’s across from First & Citizens Bank in Mitchelltown. Cost is $5 for chicken with roll or meals with chicken, green beans, slaw, roll and dessert for $9.
Chicken should be ready by 10:30 a.m. and sale will continue until all sold.
Wolfe Reunion: The Wolfe Reunion will be held from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Malone Shelter in Douthat State Park.

Masonic Ampitheatre: Robin and Linda Williams will join Bill Cook and Friends in performing a benefit concert at the Masonic Ampitheater in Clifton Forge at 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the “Save the Masonic Campaign.” Tickets will be available at the gate or in advance at Heirlooms, The Club Car, Old Forge Coffee Company and the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce office. Gates wil open at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Princess Picnic: Senior Miss Queen of Hearts Katie Riley will host a Princess Picnic Sunday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the picnic shelter of the Jackson River Sport Complex.
Tickets are $10 or 2 for $15 and can be purchased at Cato.
