Emergency workers and law enforcement officials responded to the scene of an accident involving an Alleghany County school bus Thursday afternoon at the intersection of South Craig Avenue and Lexington Avenue in Covington.
The bus was leaving the county garage in Sunnymeade en route to Clifton Middle School for student pickup.
No students were on the bus at the time of the accident, and the driver of the bus was unhurt.
One occupant was transported to LewisGale-Alleghany by the Covington Rescue Squad.
Further details on the accident were unavailable Friday.
