CLIFTON FORGE - Since July 19, Clifton Forge officials have been actively enforcing all town ordinances.
Acting Town Manager Darlene Burcham said enforcement of the ordinances will impact residents in several ways, including:
– All residents and businesses are required to post address numbers on each property.
– Recreational vehicles, including campers, boats and trailers should be placed behind the from corner of residences.
– Satellite dishes must be installed no closer than 10 feet to any property line.
– Signage on businesses should not exceed 600 square feet.
– Temporary signs must be removed after 30 days.
– No tractor-truck or semi-trailer can be parked in a residential district.
Burcham said the town is also continuing to enforce property maintenance such as tall weeds and grass, inoperable vehicles and outdoor storage.
“Residents are encouraged to work with the town in a community-wide effort to enhance the beauty of our town,” Burcham said. “As always, we will work with any town resident toward compliance and hopefully avoid the need for enforcement activity.”
